Gerald (Gerry) Long is the founder and sole owner of Long Wealth Management, a financial services firm registered in the states of Rhode Island and Florida. With over three decades of experience in financial planning and investment management, Gerry works closely with executives, families, entrepreneurs, retirees, and business owners to develop comprehensive financial, investment, and estate strategies tailored to their goals.

Before founding Long Wealth Management in July 2010, Gerry spent 20 years with the Financial Advisory division of Ameriprise Financial, Inc. Seeking the freedom to serve clients as an independent advisor, he established his own firm to deliver objective, personalized financial guidance.

Gerry holds FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 securities registrations through LPL Financial, and has earned three of the most respected professional designations in the industry:

• CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), awarded by the College for Financial Planning

• Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®)

• Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), both awarded by The American College

A 1979 graduate of Bryant University, Gerry earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He continues to exceed the required continuing education standards to maintain his professional credentials, insurance licenses, and securities registrations.

At Long Wealth Management, Gerry emphasizes a conservative, long-term investment approach that aligns with each client’s risk tolerance, time horizon, and financial objectives. He is currently licensed and registered to conduct business in Pennsylvania, Florida, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Rhode Island.

Outside of the office, Gerry is an avid skier who also enjoys golfing, fishing, traveling, and spending time at the beach. He lives in The Villages, Florida, he has one daughter, Marian, two Labrador retrievers, Larry and Oliver.
